More details on the gruesome murder of Gokada CEO, Fahim Saleh has been released by investigators following the arrest of his former Personal assistant, Tyrese Devon Haspil, who is suspected to have killed him.
According to police, 21-year-old Tyrese Devon Haspil, attacked and killed Saleh on Monday, July 13, took his credit card, used it to buy cleaning supplies and returned to the luxury $2.2m New York apartment on Tuesday, July 14, where he dismembered him but stopped and escaped from the back staircase after Saleh’s sister unexpectedly came to the flat to check on her brother when he didn’t pick her calls.
Reports also claim that Fahim Saleh had been cut up with an electric saw, which was lying nearby and was still plugged in, by the time his body was discovered in different plastic bags. Haspil after committing the crime, used his employer’s credit card to pay for a car to a Home Depot, on West 23rd Street in Manhattan, to buy cleaning supplies to sanitize the crime scene, the official said.
Police think Haspil killed Saleh in order to avoid paying back tens of thousands of dollars he stole from the tech entrepreneur.
Saleh had found out his PA had stolen from him and instead of reporting him to the authorities, he terminated his employment and set up a repayment plan for Haspil to pay him back. Haspil chose instead to kill him. Police think this was the motive for the murder.
