Ikechukwu Ezenwa, the Super Eagles and FC IfeanyiUbah goalkeeper, has declared himself clubless, according to a report by SCORENigeria.
The
28-year-old shot-stopper said further revealed that his contract with
FC Ifeanyi Ubah ended last season as such he is now a free player and
open to joining other clubs.
“I have served
out my one and half year contract with FC Ifeanyi Ubah. I had a good
time with the club, but I just have to move on as a player,” he was quoted by SCORENigeria.
“I
have offers presently but I am just studying them because as a national
team goalkeeper I need to go to a place where I will get regular action
and be in shape ahead of the World Cup.
“It is not all about moving to a club, it is all about where I will play regularly and be in the best shape.
“My
agent and I are studying some of these offers before we take a decision
and with time the world will know the team I will sign for.”
Ezenwa cancelled his contract with Sunshine Stars over unpaid salaries to join FC Ifeanyiubah. He is also the No 1 and skipper of the country’s home-based Eagles, who have qualified for the 2018 CHAN in Morocco.
