We reported on Wednesday
that former military President, retired Gen. Ibrahim Badamosi
Babangida, will on Friday in Minna, Niger State give out his last
daughter, Halimat, in marriage.
Halimat is the
second daughter and last child of the family. She was born by IBB's late
wife, Maryam while the military ruler presided over the affairs of the
country at Dodan Barracks in Lagos.
The groom is a businessman identified as Alhaji Auwal Lawal Abdullahi, who holds the traditional title of Sarkin Sudan Gombe. He is also a governorship aspirant in Gombe state.
All arrangements have been concluded for the wedding and invitations sent to prominent Nigerians across the country.
Meanwhile
a Facebook user and social commentator, Aisha Alubankudi used the
ex-president's daughter's wedding to throw a shade at single Nigerian
ladies who have refused to become 3rd and 4th wives.
According to Aisha, women who are anti-polygamists would wait endlessly.
