NYCN, South West Chairmen's forum meeting held at Ibadan

 

The communiqué of the South West Chairmen's forum meeting held at Youth Centre Ososami Ibadan on Saturday 18th March, 2017.

The CoC South West Alh Akeem Ayo Babalola presided over the meeting.

All the Chairmen were in attendance except Osun who is absent. The meeting lasted for about 6 hours. 

The resolutions of the forum were that;

1. The forum appreciate the Southwest Governors for their infrastructural development and the conducive environment created in their states and appeal to them to do more on youth empowerment and employment.

2. The forum also congratulates Mr. ROTIMI Akeredolu SAN as the Governor of Ondo State and also appeal to him to consider the youth in his cabinet.

3. The forum condemned in totality the ethnic killings at Ile Ife, while appreciating the timely intervention of the Ooni of Ife. We appeal to all to embrace peace in the interest of our dear country.

4. The forum resolved to organise a South West Youth Economic Summit to address the current economic cruise and youth unemployment in the country.

5.The forum appreciate the steadfastness of the BoT and also appeal to them to put more effort in restoring back the lost glory of the Council.

6. The forum pledge to remain with the real structure of the Youth Council and abide by the decisions of the BoT by upholding the NYCN Constitution as amended 2012.

7. The forum advised the BoT to liaise with the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports and call for a genuine management meeting within a very possible short time, and also make sure that the real Heads of Organization and State Chairmen are contacted.

8. The forum also appeal to the leaders of VYO in Southwest to come together and speak with one voice.

9. The forum also registered his displeasure about the present hullabaloo in Lagos State Chapter and appeal to the Stakeholders to make sure that peace is restored. Also that we still recognized Com. Olayinka Oresile as the authentic Chairman of NYCN, Lagos State Chapter.

10. The forum also congratulate and appreciate CoC for willingness and determination to conduct a free, fair and peaceful Congress/Election in Oyo state, come April, 2017. And all South West Chairmen must be in attendance.
