PHOTOS: Gov. Ikpeazu Distributes Made-in-aba Shoes To Students

Governor of Abia State Dr. Ikpeazu has distinguished himself in the quest for self sufficiency. Promotion of made in Aba is a project that has continued to give good record. The Governor's effort at diversifying the state’s economy through his vigorous campaign of bringing the Made in Aba products to global attention is a commitment that has shown his readiness to leave a foot print in the sand of time.

Today, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youths and Job creation Mr Chinenye Nwaogu was on ground to hand over made in Aba shoes to schools in Abia State.

The campaign for the made in Aba products is gathering a huge momentum and has many angles to it.

The state government has initiated a pilot programme to reach pupils of public primary schools with free made in Aba School Shoes. An initiative that has received commendations from all quarters.

Mr Nwaogu further explained that Abians in diaspora especially the US already have keyed into the project by donating to ordering and donating Aba made shoes to schools in their communities. The humanitarian programme is targeting mostly children in remote villages whose parents may not afford to buy school sandals for them.
