An entire community have left its mark on the body of a cable thief after he was caught in the act by stripping and beating him mercilessly.

A cable thief has been left in shame and disgraced after he was caught yesterday night stealing cables used for wiring electricity light in Oba, Anambra state. The angry community members poured mud on the man's whole body as punishment.

The unnamed man was caught by an Hausa security man on guard, and beaten to a pulp by the whole community. He was about to be set on fire before he was rescued by the police.
