Rangers at the Yankari National Park - a large wildlife park located in
Bauchi State, have arrested two notorious elephant poachers; Danja
Mohammed and Ibrahim Adamu (both pictured). They were previously
arrested for killing an elephant about five years ago.
According to the reserve, the poachers had already killed a hartebeest (African antelope) before their arrest, and confessed to be looking for elephants. They have however been sentenced to six months in jail with no option of fine.
