  • The Chairman and Chief Executive of Channels Television John Momoh has been elected the chairman of the Broadcast Organisation of Nigeria (BON).

    He emerged as the chairman in a keenly contested election and that makes him the first private media owner to Chair BON.

    Momoh is widely recognized in Nigeria as a transformative industry pioneer with the 37-year-long career in news television broadcasting.

    BON was Established in 1973, and is today comprised of over 100 members and they collectively own over 250 radio and television stations. BON’s vision is to foster a future-proof environment for radio, TV and new media broadcasters to serve their audiences and contribute to the development of our society.

    BON’s mission is to continue to be the voice of the broadcasting industry in Nigeria.
