Governor Rochas Okorocha received in audience the US Consulate in Lagos led by Mr John Bray the Consul General on a courtesy call on Wednesday at Pentagon Office, Government House, Owerri, Imo state. While receiving the Consul, Gov Rochas Okorocha requested that a list of Imo indigenes in American prison system be made available to the state government for intervention.
He said the state government will be ready to assist those willing to return home or serve their sentences in Nigeria etc. He assured the Consul that Imo State is safe for investors and called for partnership.
The Consul General promised to look into his request. The Secretary to the State Government, Sir Jude Ejiogu, Commissioners, Advisers and top government functionaries were in attendance.
