Former Nigeria's president -Goodluck Jonathan who just returned from Georgia, after delivering the opening remarks at the Hope Global Forum discussion event -pictured with Martin Luther King's son, Dr. Martin Luther King III at an event in Atlanta. Goodluck Jonathan shared the pictures on his Facebook page with the below message;
Today, America enjoys liberty and universal freedoms that reverberates around the world because of the labours of men like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. On the 28th of August 1963, Dr. King articulated "a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood". I have just returned from Georgia where I met with Dr. King's sister and I can testify to the fact that Dr. King's dream has materialized in reality. The Liberty bell that Dr. King rang continues to resonate today and God willing will continue resonating forever. He may have gone before us into God's loving embrace, but like I told his son, Dr. Martin Luther King III, who I met in Atlanta, the man who had the Dream may have died, but his dream has been realized and the reality of it has made the world a better place. Happy birthday Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. GEJ.
