Natalie Cole dies at 65.
Natalie Cole passed away on December 31, 2015 at hospital in Los Angeles at the age of 65.
According to multiple media reports, late Natalie died from congestive heart failure which is as a result of some underlying medical issues and complications from a kidney transplant and Hepatitis C.
Natalie rose to musical success in the mid–1970s as an R&B artist with the hits ‘This Will Be’, ‘Inseparable’, and ‘Our Love’.
Her 1991 album, ‘Unforgettable…With love’ which paid tribute to her father with reworked versions of some of his best-known songs, including ‘That Sunday That Summer’, ‘Too Young’ and ‘Mona Lisa’ was her greatest success however.
The album sold some 14 million copies and won six Grammys, including album of the year as well record and song of the year for the title track duet, ‘Unforgettable’, achieved with her voice spliced with her dad’s, offering a delicate duet a quarter-century after his death.
She’s survived by a son and other family members.
Nat ‘King’ Cole died of lung cancer in 1965.
