Photos; Police Launch Clamp Down On Hawkers, Arrest Many In Agege Area In Lagos

Some policemen were pictured yesterday arresting some hawkers at Agege area in Lagos. This was witnessed yesterday by Gold Akinrefon and she has this to say:

"On my way home, along Agege motor road, Nigerian police arresting poor citizens hawking for a living. My question is what are the alternatives the government has made available to them? Any new job opportunities? Any new accessible (subsidized) location made available for them to continue their trade and earn a decent living?"......
