No fewer than 45 suspects were arrested today by the operatives of the
Rapid Respond Squad (RRS) during a raid on suspected hideouts of
hoodlums and criminals in Lagos metropolis. The suspects were held up in
Oshodi, Jibowu, Victoria Island, Mile 2, Ajegunle, Ijora and Law school
under Bridge.
According to the Commander of the RRS, Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Olatunji Disu, the arrest is an onslaught against criminals in all parts of the metropolis in order to create a secured environment for prospective investors and to secure lives and properties of the residents, and for the ember months.
He noted that the arrest will be a continuous exercise to rid the state of criminals and create an enabling environment for peaceful co-existence among residents and business owners.

He assured the people that the spate of armed robbery and criminal
activities in the state would soon be a thing of the past. There will be
more surveillance on major black spots across the state and arrest of
the criminals as many as they are. He appealed to all members of the
public to promptly provide useful information that will help the police
clear every hideouts used by criminal elements.
