The third batch of Chinese peacekeeping force conduct an emergency
deployment readiness exercise on Nov. 21 in order to improve its ability
to counter terrorism. A group of unidentified men attacked a hotel in
Mali's capital Bamako at around 8 a.m. on Friday, seizing 170 guests and
staff. Three Chinese citizens were killed in this attack, the Chinese
Embassy confirmed.
