Soldiers Apprehend Robbery Suspect In The Act After Heavy Shootout In Warri

On Friday 4th September,Police received a report from military personnel attached to 3rd Battalion Nigerian Army, Warri that Soldiers on Military Pin down point received a report of robbery at a house along Evelyn Oboro Street, Effurun.


 The soldiers stormed the scene, engaged the hoodlums in a gun duel and as a result one of the hoodlums (a male) was fatally injured while two others escaped the scene with bullet wounds.

Three live cartridges, expended cartridges, one cutlass, one knife, one shovel and three mobile phones were recovered at the scene. All victims safely rescued, corpse of suspect deposited at mortuary. State CIID Asaba is investigating.
