Photos: PDP Assembles Team to Restructure The Party’s Youth System

As the  restructuring within  the Peoples Democratic Party gathers steam, it appears the party is gradually leaning towards the young minds within its fold as it seeks relaunch itself after her unsuccessful  outing at the 2015 general elections.
The National Youth Leader of the Party,  Abdullahi Hussaini MaiBasira  a  well-read intellectual , and a natural talent identifier with vast  experience both as Students Union Leader and as Speaker of the Nigerian Youth Parliament is leading this drive,?towards the transformation of the party from a gerontocratic machine into a largely egalitarian system that understands the demography, dynamics, and demands of a political  party in the 21st century.

These are familiar grounds for Maibasira who as President of the Students Union Government in Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto over ten years ago,initiated and nurtured several  positive  reforms that redefined students unionism in the caliphate city forever.
These antecedents as a natural reformer precedes him, even as his thoughts on the reform of the youth arm of the party seems to tally with the expectations of well meaning faithful  across  the party?.
Having received approval for his recommendations he  has assembled a crack team of seasoned young minds with a track record of consistency  to help with the delicate task of restructuring the Party Youth system and repositioning it to play a vital role as party emerge to take its rightful place in the Nigerian political landscape.
The team drawn from the six geo-political zones of the country has the following members
HON TONY NWULU (MP) – CHAIRMAN
Is a Member of the House of Representatives representing the Oshodi / Isolo Federal constituency, A graduate of the Abia state University, he pioneered the first ever Nokia centre in Nigeria which went on to provide support for Young entrepreneurs.
Hon Nwulu founded the MV2 a Non-profit organisation that assist young people with clear vision and innovative business ideas and has so far provided interest free loans to over 6,000 youths.
A very passionate member of the House of Representatives, Hon Nwulu has made the health care and education for his constituents a top priority.
He is also the National Coordinator, PDP Youth Advocacy Initiative; with registration at the Office of the National Youth Leader of the Party. He is a strong believer in party reforms and youth main streaming.
BARR.  INUSA MOHAMMED ( BL.LL.B)
Holds a of Law degree from the University of Maiduguri In Borno state, a former President of the Students Union Government of the same institution , he was an acting Clerk of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).
A Firm believer in the Nigerian Project Barr Inusa was a Recipient of the Ambassador of Peace award from the African First Ladies Peace Mission, and a leading member of the Goodluck support group in Gombe state.
He served as a member of the Youth mobilisation Committee of the 2015 PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, and currently runs a successful private Legal Practice.
PRINCE ADEBAYO ABAYOMI
A former Country Representative of the Global Focus International USA, Adebayo Holds  a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics Electronics from The Federal University of Technology Akure an Institution where he served as President of Students Union Government from 1999 to 2000.
A member of both Chattered Institute of commerce and the Intercontinental council of e-commerce consultants Adebayo is a Cisco certified network professional.
A passionate writer and a strong advocate for the advancement of Democracy and the rights of citizens, Adebayo has served as Special assistant to the Ondo State Governor and is currently the Peoples Democratic Party state Youth Leader in Ondo State.
YUSUF ALHASSAN MUHAMMAD
Is the Zamfara State Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, He Holds a Master’s degree in Disaster, Risk Management and Development studies    and a B. Tech both from the Federal University of Technology MInna.
A two time State Secretary of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, and Former President of Zamfara State Students Association, Mallam Yusuf Served  as a GP3  Consultant with the  UNICEF Field Office in Kaduna.
A recipient of the Outstanding state Coordinators Awards  From Neighbour 2 Neighbour Campaign Organisation for his contribution towards the success of the PDP  at the 2011 General elections, Yusuf  is a detribalised Nigerian whose efforts towards the promotion of  ethnic and religious harmony amongst  communities in Northern Nigeria is well documented .
MALIK  HENRY  OBODOZIE -AWUZIE
Holds a Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Abia state University, and  a Masters in Public health  from John Hopkins University Maryland USA .

A  brilliant  medical practitioner, with sound knowledge and vast experience  in youth and women related issues , Malik has Worked extensively with the poor, the disadvantaged and vulnerable  including  sex workers and trafficked persons executing empowerment programs initiatives that helps In the improvement of the living standards of disadvantaged young people across Nigeria.
Malik is actively involved in the design and delivery of strategic behavioural communication programs aimed at ensuring community participation and involvement in HIV/AIDS control.
?He is currently a Director of Programmes and Engagement manager of Give Back To Humanity a Non Governmental Organisation.
COMRADE FRANKLN EDEDE
Comrade Edede Franklyn Madabuchi is a human rights activist, a prolific writer and a Journalist with an un diluted passion for equity, fairness, and good governance.
He Holds a Diploma in international Journalism and a Degree in History and International studies from the Imo state University
Edede is the National Coordinator PDP National Rebirth Group (PDP- NRG),The Current President of the Igbo Youth Initiative for change and the National publicity secretary of the Youth council of Nigeria (NYCN).
A Principled, creative, and  vibrant, young  leader, Edede has  led and championed numerous revolutionary struggles geared towards emancipation of  Nigerian students, despite being incarcerated severally  by agents of the state, Edede has remained steadfast  in the fight for the weak and oppressed.
He has contributed immensely to efforts geared towards the re-transformation and redirection of the youthful mindset in Nigeria.
AMBASSADOR  IBRAHIM  BALA ABOKI
A great Son of   Kano State, Amb Ibrahim Bala Aboki holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in criminology, and was the PDP candidate for the Nassarawa Constituency seat In The Kano State House of assembly during the 2015 General elections.
Ambassador Aboki is a Recipient of the Ambassador of peace Award by United Nations.  in 2010, he received the Distinguished Advocate Award for his activities in promoting  Gender equality  and women empowerment.
He was the Director General of the Youth wing Of the Goodluck Support Group, and also served as secretary of the  Committee on Protocol and Entertainment of the  PDP presidential campaign Organisation in 2007, and as member of both the Goodluck/Sambo  campaign organisation in 2011 and 2015.
He is currently the National Secretary of the PDP National Youth Vanguard registered with the Office of the PDP National Youth Leader.
ABDULRAHAMAN USMAN MUAWUYYA
Born On the 15th Of March 1991, Abdulrahaman Usman Muawuyya holds a Bachelor of Science degree  in Accounting from the University of Abuja and has over the years worked and built capacity in the New Media spectrum , using it as a tool for social change, and the promotion of values that enhance the development of societies.
Muawuyya served as National secretary of the North central Students forum and  was a member of the Umar Nasko Gubernatorial Campaign Organization he has remained consistent in the promotion of youth inclusion in governance.
UMAR BABANGIDA MAINA
One of the shining lights from Adamawa state Hon Maina was one of the youngest candidates in the 2015 general elections, He  contested for Mubi North, Mubi South Maiha seat Of The Federal house of Representatives  and was  part of PDP National Youth committee for the 2015 presidential election.
Maina chairs the  Namadi Sambo Northeast youth forum and holds a Bachelors of Science degree in business administration and management from American liberty University, and an  MSc in international relations from University of Abuja.
He is an entrepreneur and currently a director on the board a Micro finance bank in Abuja.
COMRADE CHIDIEBERE EGWU
Is the state PDP Youth Leader in Ebonyi, a star student of industrial mathematics and statistics , comrade Egwu was the former personal assistant to distinguish senator Dr Emmanuel Onwe ,and the National President of the United Ebonyi Youth Libration Forum.
Chidiebere has been in the forefront in the promotion of Peace in crisis ridden areas of Ebonyi state and was a delegate to the National Youth Peace Summit.
OHIMAI GODWIN AMAIZE
Born in 1984 Ohimai Godwin Amaize is a Graduate of the University of Ibadan. A shining example in the youth Circles for years, He was the Special Assistant to the former Nigerian Minister of Sports, and Media aide to a former Minister of State Defence and later Foreign affairs.
In 2010, Ohimai became the youngest presidential campaign manager in modern democratic history, inspiring many youths to become involved in the Nigerian political process for the first time.
Ohimai is also an ambassador for Microsoft Internet Safety, Security and Privacy Initiative for Nigeria (MISSPIN), where he has worked to encourage Nigerian youths to shun cyber-crime and scam through the B.L.I.N.G. project.
In November 2012, Ohimai was appointed Board member, Nigeria Academicals Sports Committee (NASCOM), the body charged by the Federal Government of Nigeria through the National Sports Commission (NSC) to enhance talent identification and sports development at the grass roots, especially in Secondary Schools. He is the Board Secretary of NASCOM.
A very popular youth figure on so many social media platforms, his ability to rally the youth for various causes has endeared him to the hearts of many. ?
HON ZULAIHAT S ABDULLAHI
A Successful business woman and excellent manager of resources Hon Zulaihat Abdullahi holds National Diploma in cooperative Economics and Management.
In 2007 she served  as  member of the Intelligence and Security committee of the PDP Gubernational campaign organization in Kaduna state after which she was appointed as a Special Assistant to the Kaduna state Governor on water resources in 2008.
She was the Zonal Women leader Zone 2 for the Goodluck /Sambo 2011 Presidential Campaign Organisation in Kaduna state and.  was appointed as Community Assistant to the Governor  in 2014.
Her passion for football and support for sport’s activities and youth development earned her the  Narayi Footballers Award .
She is currently a women leader in  Chikun local government area of kaduna State.
ESSIEN INI EMEMOBONG
A law graduate of University of Uyo and a solicitor of the Supreme Court Of Nigeria, Ini also holds a certificate in Negotiation from the Harvard University, Boston. Massachusetts  in the United States, a Certificate in Environmental and Sustainable Development from Moscow State Institute of international Relations, Russia and soon to be a recipient of a Master of Arts degree in Peace and conflict Studies.?
Elected President of National Association of Nigerian Students in 2010, Ini was a member of the National Working Group on NEPAD/ African Peer Review Mechanism , a delegate to the 2013 World Peace Forum in Hawaii United States, a participant at the World youth forum in Seliger, Russia? and a recipient of the  Paul Harris Fellowship of Rotary International.
A versatile and articulate young man Comrade Ini became the Technical Assistant on Millennium Development Goals in the Presidency in 2012 at age 28 from where he was appointed  by Governor Godswill Akpabio as Special Assistant  on Students Matters in July of 2013 a position he held till the 29 of May this year.
?He served as a member of the Akwa Ibom State Campaign council of the PDP as well as the PDPPCO 2015 and is currently a Special Assistant to the Governor on Poltical Matters, Akwa Ibom State.
OCHE JOSEPH OTORKPA (MNSM) –MEMBER/ SECRETARY
Multiple award winning Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response Specialist (IDSR) and Author of the Unseen Terrorist a HIV AIDS expose Published Published in the United Kingdom by Author House.
Oche has a decade experience in the pharmaceutical industry and also holds a Certificate in Pharmaceutical Products Management from BPL, Vadodara, India.
An Invited Observer to the 33rd Programme Co-coordinating Board (PCB) Meeting of UNAIDS in Geneva, Switzerland, Oche was the recipient of the Best HIV/AIDS Peer Education Trainer (NYSC/UNICEF) award in 2006 and the Vice-Chancellors letter of commendation for campaigns toward the prevention of HIV/AIDS in Usmanu Danfodiyo University in 2004.
An Executive Director with Voices Nigeria , Oche  served on the civil Society and support group’s committee of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation 2015, was a member of the Technical Committee of Peoples Democratic Party, and Chairman Media Sub-committee for NANS , NYCN and PDP Youth National  Unity Rally.
He is currently a Pastor with the Redeemed Christian church of God.
