The heat mounted on kidnap syndicates by the men of Special
Anti-Kidnapping Squad yielded result on 9th September, 2015 as the
earlier reported kidnapped Bishop Moses Bukpe Tabwaye 'm', Anglican
Bishop of Gwagwalada Diocese Abuja was released by his captors unhurt
and without payment of ransom. Victim has since been safely re-united
with his family members.
Bishop Tabwaye was on his way to Onitsha in Anambra State when he was kidnapped by gunman somewhere around Edo State. Before the Bishop was found, his vehicle was allegedly abandoned and later recovered by the highway patrol team in Onicha-Ugbo axis of Delta State.
The police say efforts are being made to track down and arrest the perpetrators who are on the run. State CIID Asaba is investigating.
