Armed Robbery Suspect Operating In Military Uniform Nabbed By Security Operatives In Kano

On 1st September, 2015 at about 8:45pm, Police received a distress call regarding activities of a six-man armed robbery gang operating in military uniform along Kano-Wudi Road. That the hoodlums just snatched a Golf car (reg. no. withheld) at Zogarawa village along the said road from a male victim of Warawa LGA.


Police patrol teams were immediately dispatched to the scene and all Police units informed to be on the lookout for the hoodlums. Police patrol team attached to D/Kudu Division intercepted the snatched vehicle with one male occupant discovered to be one of the robbery syndicate.

Man who is from Zaria town, Kaduna State was immediately arrested, one locally-made pistol with six live cartridges, set of army uniforms and one Mobile Police trouser were recovered from the suspect. Efforts ongoing to track down other gang members, State CIID Kano is investigating.
