Read How Police Officers Rescued A Female Kidnap Victim From A Hideout In Rivers State

On 14th August, 2015 at about 4:30pm, Police Anti-Kidnapping Squad tracked down a kidnap syndicate to their hideout at Igbo Etche Pipeline. One female victim abducted on 12th August, 2015 was discovered at the hideout, in the course of the rescue operation two of the captors holding the victim were arrested (one sustained gunshot injury).


The victim was safely rescued while the injured suspect was rushed to the hospital where he died while receiving treatment. Two locally-made guns were recovered at the scene. The other arrested suspect is in custody while efforts are ongoing to apprehend the other gang members. State CIID Port-Harcourt is investigating.
