Upon a tip-off, Policemen executed a search warrant in the house and
premises of a 32yrs old male person (name withheld) of Amofia Ngbo,
Ohaukwu LGA, Ebonyi on Thursday 20th August. One serviceable AK47 rifle
with two magazines loaded with fifty eight rounds of live ammunition,
four (4) Dane guns, ten live cartridges and five 5.56 caliber ammunition
were recovered therein. Suspect was arrested at the scene and taken
into custody, State CIID Abakiliki is investigating.
Meanwhile, on 20th August, 2015, at about 10:15pm, Police operatives
attached to Kubwa Division raided a suspected criminal hideout along
Jaji Street, Kubwa. Five male suspects were arrested and one
locally-made pistol with one live ammunition and six wraps of dried
leaves suspected to be Indian hemp recovered. FCT CIID is investigating.
