Police Officers Raid Armed Robbers Hideout In Edo State, Nab Six Suspects

Upon a tip-off, Police operatives from Area Command Irrua on 19th August, 2015 at about 5:00am stormed a suspected armed robbery gang enclave at Ahia Ubiaja. Six suspects were arrested, one locally-made gun with two live ammunition, two masks and three mobile phones recovered. Arrested suspects are linked to some recent robbery incidents at Ubiaja axis. State CIID Benin is investigating.


 Meanwhile, On 19th August, 2015 upon a tip-off, Police SARS operatives stormed a criminal hideout at Amawbia in Awka South LGA where three male suspects were arrested and one English-made Barreta Pistol with three rounds of .9mm live ammunition and two mobile phones earlier snatched from owners were recovered. State CIID Awka is investigating.
