When Ms. Yan from Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, China went about her evening
cooking on Monday she had scarcely imagined that with the crack of an
egg she’d become a matter of news reports. As the shell broke, the bowl
was suddenly inundated with four yolks. So shocked was Yan at the sight
that instead of cooking the egg, she stored it in the fridge and called
a local newspaper.
Apparently, the chances of finding an egg with four yolks are very rare – an estimated one in 11 billion, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
