The Former Secretary to the Federal Government (SGF) during late General Sanni Abacha’s regime, Alhaji Aminu Saleh, has been confirmed dead by his family.
He died on Wednesday morning, aged 87, at the Federal Medical Centre Azare, in Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi state, after a brief illness.
According to a member of the family who spoke on condition of anonymity, Aminu Saleh will be buried on Wednesday evening according to Islamic rites.
He is survived by a wife, 13 children and grandchildren. Among the children are Engineer Kabiru Aminu Saleh, eldest son and the immediate past deputy Governor of Bauchi state, Sagir Aminu Saleh.
