Boko Haram Insurgents Strike Again, Kill Over 29 In Latest Attack On Borno Village

The deadly Boko Haram insurgents are at it again...After killing nearly 150 people in the Northern part of the country few days ago, the militants have struck again -this time taking about 29 lives with them and destruction of properties. God help Nigeria..

 Mussa village under Askira-Uba local government area of Borno state came under the terror of Boko Haram gunmen who invaded the community at about 1pm yesterday and continued their hostility for hours.


The attacked village is about 36km away from Askira-Uba, a town about 175km away from Maiduguri, Borno state capital.

Wabba Sunday, who identified himself as the chairman of Mussa Youth Development Association informed journalists in Maiduguri on phone that the terrorists arrived the town from the direction of a village called Yimradi-Gwandam.

“It was one senseless and bloody attack that left many people dead or injured; in fact, we have counted the bodies of 29 people that were killed and many others sustained serious injuries”.

Waba said yesterday’s assault was “the fourth time the village was being attacked this year”.
