  • PHOTO: Nigerian Doctor Makes History After Winning The World Medical Association Award In Norway
  • The 200th World Medical Association Council meeting was held in Oslo, Norway from April 15-19 2015 and attended by delegates from more than 50 national medical associations. At the Event, a staff of the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital emerged winner of the World Medical Association & Junior doctor network champion Award for 2015, making Nigeria the first African country to win the award set aside for the best paper and oral presentation during the council session.


    Dr. Gbujie Daniel, a UPTH Staff in tge department of oral maxillofacial surgery at the dental center emerged overall best in the clinical paper and oral presentation , in addition he was also nominated into a committee and would attend the world health assembly in Russia in October 2015.

     Dr Gbujie Daniel was also inducted as an associate member of the association and was given a certificate and an award by the world medical association and host country Norwegian medical association.
