According to the party, the development was a ploy to disenfranchise the primary owners in the March 28 and April 11 general elections.
The party in a statement by the state chapter said it was appalled that the leadership of the APC had engaged its members to procure the INEC-issued PVCs.
“This portends grave danger to the nation’s democracy. It also jeopardises the efforts of the government and the Commission in the quest for free and fair elections,” it said.
PDP further appealed to relevant authorities to urgently check the trend by arresting and prosecuting the culprits to ensure a free, transparent and participatory poll in Rivers.
