President Goodluck Jonathan has vowed that Nigeria will never again
concede any part of her territory to the Boko Haram terrorists, even as
he commended the Nigerian military for recapturing lost towns and
communities in the North-eastern part of the country.
Jonathan who spoke through the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Supervising Minister of Information, Mr. Edem Duke, gave this assurance on Saturday in front of Defence Headquarter (DHQ), Abuja, at the end of solidarity rally for the Armed Forces organized by the Support Our Troops Foundation.
He reminded Nigerians that during the Presidential media chat, he promised them that momentum on the planned offensive against the terrorists in the North East will be seen.
“It is therefore with great pleasure that I join my voice to salute the bravery of our military. Thanks to the bravery of our military that we have this momentum against the terrorists.
“I call on Nigerians that wherever they are, they should endeavour to replicate his solidarity”, he urged. “Never again will our recovered territories be lost to the terrorists”.
