The All Progressives Congress (APC), Kwara State chapter has berated the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for its penchant for violence while condemning the shooting of a student at Agbamu, Kwara State by political thugs belonging to the PDP.
The APC in a statement issued on Wednesday by its Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sulyman Buhari, said the shooting of an innocent student at Agbamu on Tuesday by PDP thugs is condemnable and reprehensible.
"We hereby condemn the unfortunate incident that happened at Agbamu where an innocent lady who is a student of Kwara State College of Education, Oro was hit by bullets fired by thugs sponsored by the PDP who had thronged Agbamu for a political rally that turned out to be a violent gathering.
"We gathered that the lady was promptly rushed to the hospital in an effort to save her life.
It is specifically shocking that a lady who didn't attend PDP rally but merely doing her own activities at her house fell in victim of PDP's penchant for bloodshed.
